Position Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, experienced Sanitation Manager to lead our night shift sanitation team at our manufacturing facility in Hildale, Utah. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality assurance and will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and cGMP compliance across all operations—including complex CIP (Clean-in-Place) and COP (Clean-Out-of-Place) processes. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and audit all cleaning, sanitizing, and documentation procedures to ensure strict compliance with 21 CFR Part 111, Part 117, OSHA standards, and company SOPs.
- Oversee and document the turnaround time and effectiveness of CIP (blend/encapsulation) and COP (disassembly/reassembly) units.
- Lead and train the team in the proper disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembly of specialized manufacturing machinery, including blenders, encapsulation equipment (e.g., Capsylon 3005), and packaging lines (unscrambler, slat counter, capper).
- Serve as the on-site technical expert for machine components, troubleshooting assembly and operational performance issues.
- Ensure proper handling, chemical labeling, allergen control, and storage to prevent product cross-contamination or adulteration.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a food, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or FDA-regulated industry.
- 1+ years of leadership or senior-level experience within a manufacturing sanitation department.
- Strong working knowledge of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 111, 21 CFR Part 117, and OSHA guidelines.
- Proven leadership abilities with strong delegation, motivational, and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written/verbal communication skills and proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Physical capability to stand for 8-hour shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work around powders.
